Conduct ASW Area Search.

The PRC military is mobilizing for an invasion of Taiwan. Pre-invasion attacks are expected to include submarine launched cruise missiles. These attacks will undoubtedly be against largely populated areas and intended to throw Taiwan into chaos. The PLAN has been observed conducting training exercises for sea-based attacks against Taipei City.

Sub-launched cruise missile attacks against Taipei are expected from the deep basin east of the northern tip of Taiwan. Conduct an ASW Area Search of the annotated area.

Track and maintain contact on any detected Chinese submarines. Do not engage until you receive orders to do so. If you observe a sub-surface missile launch then weapons are free and you have authorization to engage the attacking submarine.

Additional tasking against surface contacts is possible.
