Detect,
localize,
track
and attack
a transiting AKULA class submarine.
An intel satellite has photographed an Akula
class submarine
leaving the Russian naval base at Petropavlosk on the Kamchatka
peninsula. The Akula has likely been assigned one of two missions:
1. Enter the Sea
of Japan
and engage a U.S. Carrier Strike Group conducting operations
against North Korea, or
2. Proceed east of Japan and interdict a U.S. Expeditionary
Strike Group headed for Korean waters.
The Akula was sighted leaving Petropavlosk
yesterday morning. A contact was deteced by SOSUS Trip Wire
“Charlie” and classified as an Akula class submarine
yesterday evening at 2000 hours. Intelligence estimates are
that the Akula will next cross SOSUS Trip Wire “Delta”
or “Tango” depending on its destination.
Standby for the next SOSUS detection report,
then prosecute
the Akula submarine. Attack
and destroy
it. There is a possibility that there are two Akula class submarines
heading south.
